CEC Calls on Citizens to Turn Out for Elections on October 2nd

CEC President Ahmed Šantić told reporters in Sarajevo today that citizens have no reason not to take a little time on Sunday to vote in the elections.

It is enough for citizens to come to the polling station in their municipality, bring their identity card, passport, or driver's license issued in BiH, and they can fulfill their civic duty in just a few minutes.

Local elections will be held in BiH on October 2nd. According to the Central Election Commission of BiH, 103 political parties, 171 independent candidates, 52 candidates representing national minorities on behalf of 52 groups of citizens, 6 candidates representing national minorities on behalf of 6 associations of citizens, 106 coalitions, and 17 lists of independent candidates will compete for local government.

3,263,906 voters have the right to vote. Polling stations will be open from seven in the morning until seven in the evening.
