Islamic Community of BiH collected over 102 tons of potatoes, onions, honey... all will be donated

The Islamic Community of BiH has collected 102.7 tons of agricultural products so far, in the campaign for zakat on agricultural products. Potatoes dominate, and a significant amount of red onions, cabbage, beans, carrots, apples, pears, walnuts, and honey has been collected, announced the Zakat Office, reported by the BiH news agency Patria.

The largest amount of agricultural products was collected in the Zenica muftiate, around 37 tons, while around 30 tons were collected in the Travnik muftiate and around 25 tons in the Tuzla muftiate.
Data from the Bihać and Mostar muftiates have not yet been processed.

The Islamic Community explains that the largest part of the collected agricultural products will be donated to madrasas, soup kitchens, hospitals, homes for the elderly and infirm, student dormitories, and preschool institutions, as well as to poor and vulnerable individuals in jamaats in coordination with the Office for Social Welfare of the Islamic Community in BiH, reports NAP.
