BiH and the Muslim World League Sign Agreement: Together Against Fanaticism

Reisu-l-ulema of the Islamic Community in BiH Husein ef. Kavazović and the Secretary General of the Muslim World League (Rabita) Dr. Abdullah Et-Turki today signed at the Rabita headquarters in Mecca the “Cooperation Agreement” between the Muslim World League and the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, announced by the Rijaset, as reported by the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The agreement, signed on Tuesday, provides, among other things, for cooperation in presenting Islam and spreading the middle path and moderation, especially in the Balkan states, as well as fighting against fanaticism and extremism and explaining the Sharia stance towards extremist movements and distorted currents, as well as towards contemporary human issues.

The Islamic Community in BiH and Rabita will exchange experiences, studies, research, reports and data on contemporary Islamic issues concerning Muslims in general, and especially Muslims in the Balkan states.

Part of the agreement also relates to cooperation in the construction and maintenance of mosques, and the exchange of experiences and information in the field of organizing and managing endowments (waqfs).

On Wednesday, the Reisu-l-ulema will have a meeting in Jeddah with the President of the Islamic Development Bank, Dr. Ahmed bin Muhammad Ali.

Ef. Kavazović, accompanied by the Director of the Waqf Directorate of the Islamic Community in BiH, Dr. Senaid Zajimović, is currently visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he is participating in the work of the International Islamic Conference on Terrorism, reports NAP.
