Jordanian citizen deported from BiH for financing Salafists

Inspectors of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs deported a Jordanian citizen Y.D.I.G. from Sarajevo Airport last night based on information from intelligence-security agencies of BiH according to which this person provides financial support to a number of the radical Salafist movement in BiH, or activities that could jeopardize the security of our country, reports the Patria News Agency.

Also, from an earlier period, there are indications that this foreign citizen is connected to individuals from the international terrorism network. This is a Jordanian citizen who stayed in BiH during the war, where he also started a family. He left BiH in the post-war period, and given the information from intelligence-security agencies about his activities, despite multiple attempts, the Service did not approve any of his requests for a visa to enter BiH.

Upon the report of his wife, he was discovered in Zenica two days ago, and he entered BiH on the basis of a visa from the Republic of Croatia, which also allowed him visa-free stay in BiH for a maximum of seven days.

Along with the measure of expulsion, this Jordanian citizen was also banned from entering Bosnia and Herzegovina for a period of two years.
