BH Gas claims gas supply has been normalized

Gas supply from the Russian Federation has been normalized since last night (Tuesday, 12/30/2014). On this occasion, a meeting was held this morning at BH-Gas where representatives of Sarajevogas, Toplane-Sarajevo and the Ministry of Spatial Planning and Environmental Protection of Sarajevo Canton were informed about this, writes the Patria News Agency.

Until yesterday, the supply was limited to 913,000 m3, which was not enough to supply Sarajevo Canton during the period of extremely low temperatures, so Toplane-Sarajevo even partially started using fuel oil mazut so that there would be enough gas for the needs of other Sarajevogas consumers.

- In the previous days, we contacted the Embassy of the Russian Federation, there were coordinated activities with Energoinvest, Srbijagas, ministries, embassies... We want to thank the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Bosnia and Herzegovina H.E. Petar Ivancov, and the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Moscow, H.E. Ivan Barbalić, with whom we were in constant contact and who tried to help resolve this situation through diplomatic channels, as well as everyone who tried to help us. Energoinvest has signed an agreement with Gazprom Export on gas supply for 2015, we hope that we will not have such and similar problems in the coming year - it was announced from BH Gas.
