Autoceste FBiH appeals to politicians not to use them for election purposes

Lately, individual political parties have been increasingly using the highway construction project for political promotion in the media. JP Autoceste FBiH becomes the subject of bickering and media appearances by political parties during the election campaign, the company announced, reports Patria.

- We emphasize that the highway construction project is not a political project but a project of all citizens, and it is the result of the work and commitment of the management and employees of this company. We understand the pre-election nervousness of political parties, but highway construction as a project of interest to all Bosnians and Herzegovinians must not be a subject of political bargaining.

We point out to the public that the director of JP Autoceste d.o.o. Mostar, Ensad Karić, is a professional and independent expert entrusted with leading this company. JP Autoceste FBiH d.o.o. Mostar operates absolutely transparently and has achieved full cooperation with all public authorities. Despite this, political parties, for their own rather than general public interests, continue to pressure institutions because it suits them to fabricate untruths and scandals in these pre-election days.

The construction of the highway was awaited for many years, and the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina must not continue to suffer politicking in this area.

The evident results achieved in highway construction should remain outside of political events. We appeal to all political entities to refrain from using this project for daily political purposes.

We remind the public that JP Autoceste FBiH completed the Zvirovići – Kravice section for seven million KM less than contracted, and that these funds will be invested in the rehabilitation of regional and local roads, which the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina will recognize without politicians opening their eyes – the statement said.
