Ivo Tadić leaves Čović's HDZ

(Patria) - Former president of HDZ ZDK Ivo Tadić announced that he is leaving HDZ BiH.

As the main reason, he cited recent events and, as he pointed out, the undemocratic conduct of internal party elections within HDZ BiH at the ZDK level.

- Unfortunately, the party is led by a small interest group headed by Mato Zovko, who have prioritized their personal interests and gathered suitable and obedient individuals around them.

The party leadership also contributed to this situation by dissolving the Cantonal Board of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, which allowed the dominance and majorization of the Žepče municipal organization over the other 7 municipal organizations of the party - said Tadić.

He emphasizes that mayors of Vareš and Usora municipalities, former deputies and ministers, high-ranking party officials, and other respected and successful businessmen have been removed from political positions.

- Due to such actions, almost half of the delegates from the basic branches did not participate in the electoral assembly of the Žepče Municipal Organization, and the list of the new municipal board leaked to the public a day before the electoral assembly was held.

As a reward for preventing the participation of members in electoral processes, Ivica Penić was awarded the position of president of the OO Žepče. I cannot be a participant in such undermining of Croatian national interests, non-statutory and undemocratic elections within the party, and therefore I am leaving HDZ BiH.

I emphasize that I will continue to act politically as an independent representative in the ZDK Assembly and as a delegate in the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament," Tadić stated, among other things, in his explanation for leaving HDZ BiH, reports BHRT.
