Ivo Sanader urgently transferred to hospital due to heart problems

Ivo Sanader has been at Rebro hospital since yesterday due to heart problems. According to information published by Croatian media, he felt unwell and was transferred to the hospital, reports BH news agency Patria. 

As confirmed by his lawyers, doctors performed an electrical cardioversion on Sanader to restore his normal heart rhythm. Electrical cardioversion, or defibrillation, is the use of an electric shock to restore a normal heart rhythm. Electrical cardioversion is performed while the patient is under general anesthesia to avoid pain during the application of the electric shock. Hospitalization is usually not necessary, and the patient goes home for further care.

However, Sanader was kept in the hospital yesterday, and it is not known when he will be returned to prison.

On Friday, Doris Pack visited Sanader in Remetinec, and they talked for about an hour.
