Ivo Josipović is not returning to SDP

Croatian President Ivo Josipović completed the final hours of his term today.

He told reporters today that he feels well. When asked why the handover of duties will not be public, Josipović replied that it was agreed upon, reports the Patria News Agency.

- The teams agreed on that. There is nothing special about it. We will shake hands with you or without you, he said.

It is also clear from his words that he will not return to his old party, SDP, from which he received an invitation to rejoin.

- I proposed a large reform package during the campaign, but as we could hear, the leadership of SDP is not inclined towards these reforms. Therefore, there is no point for me to stand by in a policy that is not good, said the outgoing president, thus announcing that there will be news in his political future.
