Ivica Obrvan without an answer on his future on the bench

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Bosnia and Herzegovina handball team was defeated by Spain 28:24 in the third round of the European Championship in Bratislava, and after the match, selector Ivica Obrvan sharply stated that our team suffered a real massacre due to absences. Our team played three matches against Sweden, the Czech Republic and Spain and suffered three defeats.

"We played against one of the best national teams in the world. I would congratulate my players on their excellent engagement and fighting spirit. We led for most of the match, but in the end we lacked knowledge and Spain took advantage of that," said Obrvan, reflecting on the entire championship:

"This torment has just passed. This is a European Championship that meant nothing to us and served no purpose, because of the situation that unfolded. We played in the lineup we had to play in, and the match against the Czech Republic could have ended similarly to this one. It was evident that we missed two matches against Croatia that would have served as an introduction. We suffered a massacre at the championship in terms of positions, and that has not happened to any other national team, and I hope such a European Championship never repeats. Some national teams bring players in 'trucks' to have enough players for matches," said the Croatian expert.

In the upcoming period, the BiH handball players face pre-qualifications for the World Championship, and it is not yet known whether Obrvan will remain in the position of selector.
