Ivanković Lijanović: HDZ proposals harmful for Croats

Jerko Ivanković Lijanović reacted regarding the proposals presented at the last session of the HNS.

- The election of members of the Presidency of BiH should be from the Parliament of BiH, as is the example in Germany. If in that country, which has over 50 million voters, the president is elected from the Parliament (Bundestag), why could this not be possible in BiH, which has just over three million voters.

As for the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, it should be abolished together with the cantons and the positions of the President and two Vice-Presidents of the FBiH, thus making savings of up to 500 million KM, which we will invest in the economic development of the FBiH based on the principles of the development of West Germany.

Precisely because it has been shown that this House of Peoples only knows how to increase its own incomes, as we witnessed in recent days when they voted without issue to increase allowances for separate living. The House only knows how to spend the money of the residents, together with the cantons and their cumbersome administration, and not to produce and create new values, new jobs that will stop our young generations from leaving BiH and bring back those who have left, to live from their work on their native soil - the reaction states.
