The BiH Presidency announced on July 1st the Decision to initiate the procedure for selecting the most favorable bidder for the procurement of a motor vehicle for the needs of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the deadline for submitting bids being August 16th, and the criterion for awarding the contract will be the lowest price. The new car will cost 171,000 KM, and with VAT, over 200,000 KM. According to information obtained by Patria, the car is being purchased for Mladen Ivanić, a member of the BiH Presidency. An identical scenario was seen last year when a tender for the purchase of a new vehicle was announced at the beginning of October. It was purchased for the needs of Dragan Čović, a member of the BiH Presidency. The Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Bakir Izetbegović, also drives an Audi A8 worth a staggering 213,000 KM with additional equipment, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

The Public Procurement Agency could not react to previous purchases because the BiH Presidency is exempt from the Rulebook on official vehicles in state institutions, adopted by the Council of Ministers of BiH in 2014, which prohibits the purchase of vehicles in state institutions costing more than 130,000 KM. According to the same Rulebook, state ministers, presidents of the Constitutional Court of BiH, the Court of BiH, and the Chief State Prosecutor are entitled to limousines worth up to 100,000 marks.
