Ivanić complained to Nikolić about the situation in BiH

After meeting with the Prime Minister of the Government of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, a member of the BiH Presidency, Mladen Ivanić, also held a meeting with the President of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolić, reports Patria.

Ivanić said, as announced by the Press Service of Nikolić's cabinet, that the statements of the heads of the Islamic religious community and the Catholic Church in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the rhetoric of politicians from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, are taking citizens back to the early nineties of the last century.

Ivanić believes that this must stop, because such actions threaten peace and stability and create insecurity, especially among members of the Serb people. Ivanić added that he sincerely hopes that this will be understood in time and that Bosnia and Herzegovina will return to the path of progress for all its citizens and create opportunities for life as in the developed countries of Europe.

Nikolić said on this occasion that "some politicians, for the sake of narrow-minded and short-term political benefits, are inciting tensions among the peoples living in the region, and in this way causing enormous damage to the process of reconciliation among citizens and states, and said that the situation in BiH is rapidly deteriorating.

- The future of the entire Balkans lies in cooperation, in striving to adopt European standards, and the prerequisite for this cooperation must first and foremost be peace and stability, and Serbia firmly insists on this - stated the president.
