Ivanić with Russian Ambassador: Unacceptable changes in the Council of Ministers to the detriment of the Alliance for Change

Member of the BiH Presidency Mladen Ivanić met today with the Russian Ambassador to BiH, Petar Ivantsov, reports the Patria news agency.

They discussed the foreign policy situation in the world, the problem in Syria, as well as current issues in BiH.

Ambassador Ivantsov conveyed that Russia's military intervention in Syria is aimed exclusively against the forces of the so-called Islamic State, and expressed hope that it will contribute to a faster calming of the war in that country. They also discussed recent initiatives to change the composition of the ruling coalitions.

Ivanić emphasized that a reconstruction of the BiH Council of Ministers at the expense of the participation of the Alliance for Change is unacceptable, and that the Council of Ministers has support to continue its work, as it has shown good results in the previous period leading to a calming of tensions and fulfillment of undertaken obligations for obtaining candidate status for BiH's entry into the European Union, the BiH Presidency announced.
