Member of the BiH Presidency from Republika Srpska Mladen Ivanić stated today that there is no law on holidays in BiH and that November 25th cannot and should not be celebrated as the Day of Statehood of BiH.
"There is no law on holidays in BiH and for me, this alleged holiday cannot and should not be celebrated. And for someone to celebrate such a holiday, that date would have to be accepted by all constituent peoples in BiH," Ivanić said.
He added that for this reason, he will not attend the reception at the BiH Presidency, which will be organized tomorrow by the Chairman of the BiH Presidency Dragan Čović and the Bosniak member of the Presidency Bakir Izetbegović on the occasion of the Day of Statehood of BiH.
There is no Law on Holidays at the BiH level, because RS is precisely rejecting it.
It is interesting that in the comments on this statement, it is said that Ivanić was a "Tito's pioneer", "Tito's youth", then a communist, and finally a man born in the city of ZAVNOBiH, Sanski Most.
