Ivanić: I don't know Izetbegović's motive for strengthening and reviving Dodik

Mladen Ivanić, leader of PDP and newly elected Serb member of the BiH Presidency, told the BiH news agency Patria that the talks on forming state-level government held over the past two days between Bakir Izetbegović, Dragan Čović, and Milorad Dodik were merely "a warm-up before the real match that will start after the official election results are announced".

- I don't believe the three of them together, meaning the three parties SDA, HDZBiH, and SNSD, will achieve anything, because I don't see Izetbegović's motive for reviving and strengthening Milorad Dodik. These talks only serve Dodik to consolidate his position in Republika Srpska, meaning to secure a mandate for himself when negotiations on forming the government in RS begin, Ivanić explains.

He states that he too has had a series of informal talks with Izetbegović and Čović in recent days, and that something called a coalition at the state level, as well as in Republika Srpska, will still have to wait.

- Čović, Dodik, and Izetbegović must have one more partner from the Federation of BiH with them to form a strong coalition. As far as I have followed the statements, the leader of SBB, Fahrudin Radončić, has said he will not cooperate with SDA, and whether the Democratic Front will, we shall see. Because Željko Komšić has not yet made a concrete statement, other than saying he will not enter into mathematical coalitions - states our interlocutor, adding that at first glance it seems like something has been agreed upon, but in reality, none of it is true.
