Ivanić and Cormack also discussed the referendum in RS

Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mladen Ivanić met today with U.S. Ambassador to BiH Maureen Cormack, reports the Patria news agency.

 

During the meeting, they discussed the political situation in BiH and the region, the announced referendum on the judiciary in the Republic of Srpska, as well as activities related to marking the twentieth anniversary of the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement.

The need for continued dedicated work by institutions at all levels of government on the continuation of initiated reforms in BiH was emphasized, in order to continue the process of EU approximation. In this context, economic reforms and the creation of a favorable business environment that can attract investors and enable the opening of new jobs remain the primary task, it was stated at the meeting.

Ivanić particularly highlighted his commitment to strengthening the rule of law and its consistent implementation, as well as the determination that the fight against corruption in all its forms be a priority in the coming period, it was announced from the Presidency of BiH.
