Ivanić: I forgive Nikšić's congratulations on Independence Day

Chairman of the BiH Presidency Mladen Ivanić today commented again on the congratulatory message sent to him by Nermin Nikšić, president of SDP, on the occasion of BiH Independence Day, writes Patria.

- I wasn't going to comment on this anymore. My stance is that a marginal political figure wants to make themselves strong, and it is evident that they want to do so using my name. Unlike him, I do not prevent him from celebrating March 1st, while he prevents me from celebrating January 9th. Imagine if I congratulated everyone on January 9th – Ivanić said.

He further added that "I forgive Nikšić, as is often said in Sarajevo, if this is a way for him to gain affirmation and appear in the media.".

Ivanić said that Nikšić and those like him, lacking other arguments, file criminal charges and create various incidents in order to gain some media attention.
