Ivanić: BiH has agreed on a master plan, next year we will submit the application for candidate status in the EU

Mladen Ivanić, member of the BiH Presidency, told reporters after the session of the Presidency that a master plan has been made, which includes a reform program for everything that BiH must do to gain candidate status for EU accession, reports a reporter of the news agency Patria.

The Council of Ministers of BiH has been tasked with activating this mechanism within seven days.

The master plan, according to Ivanić, includes a reform agenda, a coordination mechanism, and the resolution of the Sejdić-Finci ruling, and this master plan even includes deadlines for when each of these should be realized.

Ivanić also said that BiH will receive one billion euros for budgets, as well as 500 million euros for infrastructure and other investments. The largest part of these funds are non-refundable.

- I received information that the entity governments, cantons, and the Council of Ministers of BiH have agreed on the coordination mechanism, and that the Council of Ministers is tasked with initiating this mechanism within seven days - Ivanić told reporters.

Ivanić hopes that BiH will submit the application for candidate status in the EU at the beginning of next year, and that we should become a candidate for EU membership as early as 2017, writes NAP.
