Ivantsov: Turkish Ambassador Had His Own Position on One Paragraph of the Joint Statement

Russian Ambassador to BiH Petar Ivantsov addressed journalists after today's three-hour session of ambassadors of the member countries of the Steering Board of the Peace Implementation Council held in Sarajevo, Patria reports.  

The text of the joint statement was agreed upon at the session.

-We decided that the joint statement is more important and significant than specifying national positions. The text of the statement expresses our concern about the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it was conveyed that action should be taken based on compromise and dialogue, Ivantsov said.

At the session, the Turkish ambassador had somewhat different views from the others.

-The Turkish ambassador abstained from one of the paragraphs in that statement. It is a paragraph that expresses concern about the current situation in the country, Ivantsov explained.
