Investigation yields no results: Still unknown who sent the bullet to the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - An envelope containing a bullet arrived by mail at the building of the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina on November 6, 2019, but the investigation has still not yielded any results. 

The State Agency for Investigation and Protection and BiH police and security structures have established cooperation with colleagues in Serbia and are working on this case, but there has been no progress, and it is still unknown who sent the envelope with the bullet and why. The note contained the message "with faith in God, life or death".

As we previously reported, the envelope arrived from the capital of Serbia, and the bullet was wrapped in a tissue. The shipment was received at the mailroom of the Joint Service of the Institutions of BiH. The recipient address was listed as the Parliament of BiH, Trg BiH 1, but it was not specified to whom exactly the envelope was intended to reach. 

Reports on the measures and actions taken by SIPA officers in connection with this case have been submitted to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

The same shipment also arrived at the premises of the Islamic Community based in Novi Pazar, Serbia, and reportedly several more identical envelopes were sent on that November 6.
