The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina has no information that among the victims of the explosion that occurred today, January 12, 2016, in Istanbul, there are injured citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports the BH News Agency Patria.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina is closely monitoring the situation and, through the General Consulate of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Istanbul, is in constant contact with the Turkish authorities.
We remind you that the explosion occurred this morning in the center of Istanbul near the Sultan Ahmed Mosque, in which 10 people were killed and 15 injured. Incidentally, there is a high concentration of tourists visiting that part of Istanbul, and the authorities have closed Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque.
The explosion occurred when a suicide bomber detonated explosives among the crowd of people, and it was determined that the perpetrator was a Syrian born in 1988.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned this terrorist attack.
