Citizens gather in front of Bejtović/Rožajac clinic, leaving flowers, candles, toys for little Džena

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Citizens spontaneously gathered in front of the Bejtović/Rožajac clinic this evening following the death of the little girl Džena Gadžun. She was operated on in this clinic several days ago, and after a complication with anesthesia, she was taken in a coma to KCUS where she lost her battle for life after several days. Toys, candles, flowers were left in front of the clinic...

The Cantonal Prosecutor's Office is collecting all documentation in this case.

"The Cantonal Prosecutor's Office can currently state that after analyzing the collected medical documentation, then the autopsy findings, necessary expert assessments, analysis of statements from several persons, and other evidentiary actions being taken, it will determine whether there are elements of criminal responsibility related to the treatment and death of the little girl," the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office announced today.

Also, the Cantonal Inspection continued its inspection supervision in three private clinics. 

"Inspection supervisions at the Specialist Ophthalmology Clinic 'Dr Halimić', the 'Private Clinic for Anesthesia and Pain Therapy Prim. Dr Suad Rožajac', and the Private Dental Clinic 'Bejtović', initiated at the request of the Ministry of Health of the Canton of Sarajevo, with the aim of controlling space, equipment, staff, and records, were not completed on Friday, and continued today, and if necessary will continue in the coming days," the Cantonal Administration for Inspection Affairs announced.
