Đurbuzović's Confession: I Didn't Deserve This!

The decision about my dismissal came unexpectedly. Dismissals are normal in sports, but in a fair, direct, and better way, not by doing things around that were never appropriate for the football club "Željezničar", said Hajrudin Đurbuzović, the dismissed head of the professional staff of this club, for the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

Namely, Đurbuzović learned about the decision to dismiss him from the media, and he still hasn't had an official conversation with the club's leadership.

- This is not over, I had an agreement with manager Amar Osim and director Mirsad Šiljko. I have submitted some requests to see what and how to proceed. I hope it will be resolved to mutual satisfaction and I expect an answer – Đurbuzović told NAP.

Đurbuzović spent his entire professional sports career at Željo, and today he cannot go to the club premises. He took over the club at a difficult moment, after Amar Osim's withdrawal, and managed to achieve results. However, his support for the club from Grbavica will remain permanent.

- I worked for Željo with my heart, and I was there even in the hardest times. I showed that I am there for Željo and how much I love that club. I have no reason to be angry now, but I will not go to the club until I get an official answer, and Željo will always have my support – Đurbuzović emphasized.

He doesn't know the players' current attitude towards his dismissal, but he states that he had a fair relationship and maximum support from both the players and the fans.

- I wish Željo to win the title, we fought until the last round, and we were eliminated from the Cup by Sarajevo, but we were not defeated. What I know is that there were no ambitions, nor did anyone tell me anything. But, Europe is here and the goal has been fulfilled – Đurbuzović emphasizes.

Although he has not held talks with the club's leadership, the name of Admir Adžem, a former player of this club, is already being mentioned as Đurbuzović's successor, and he is expected to be officially presented on Tuesday.

- He is also a child of Željo. The ambitions were to focus on the youth academy. What will happen next, I don't know. I think FK Željezničar must have its base and its players. Of course, I wish him all the best, but I have nothing to do with it – Đurbuzović told Patria.
