Water levels rising under Butila interchange, highway could be flooded

(Patria) - Water levels under the Butila interchange are constantly rising. Emergency speed limits and diversions have been put in place, as it is expected that the water could soon overflow onto the A1 highway, BIHAMK announced.

Vehicles up to 3.5 tons can travel on the Sarajevo-Foča main road section, while bus and truck traffic is rerouted via Romanija.

Traffic is slow and difficult in the wider Sarajevo area (in the areas of: Stupa, Bačići, Otes, Vojkovići, and Dobroševići) due to water on the road.

Traffic is suspended on the Visoko-Ilijaš regional road section in the village of Čekrekčije.

Landslides on the Jablanica-Blidinje and Konjic-Boračko jezero roads have been cleared and traffic has been restored, but maximum caution is still advised due to the possibility of new landslides and mudslides.

Traffic is difficult on certain sections of the Konjic-Jablanica-Mostar main road due to water and mud on the road.

We warn drivers about occasional strong gusts of wind, increased amounts of water on the road, as well as the danger of new landslides, and we call for increased caution.

On the A-1 highway section Kakanj-Visoko (on the bridge in the settlement of Dobrinje), traffic is two-way, using the opposite lane from the construction zone.

On the Tuzla-Kalesija road (due to works in the Čaklovići tunnel), traffic is suspended from 10 PM to 6 AM and rerouted to an alternative route via Dubrave. During the day, passenger vehicles from the direction of Tuzla travel through the tunnel, and from the direction of Kalesija via the bypass around the tunnel. Trucks are also directed via the road over Dubrave during the day.

Due to rehabilitation works, traffic is suspended on the Draksenić-Vrbaška main road section (the road leading to the Gradina border crossing). During the works, passenger vehicles can use the local road (Podgradci-Jablanica-Sjeverovci-Božići), while trucks travel via Banja Luka and Prijedor.

Among other roads with ongoing works, we highlight the roads: Konjic-Jablanica (Crnaja tunnel), Donji Vakuf-Jajce (Skela), Nemila-Žepče (Želeće), Blažuj-Gromiljak (Radanovići), Doboj-Gračanica (in Klokotnica), Grude-Ljubuški (at the exit from Grude), and Stolac-Hutovo (in the village of Cerovica).

Due to numerous landslides and the risk of mudslides on the Brod na Drini-GP Hum/Šćepan Polje main road, passenger vehicles are experiencing difficult travel, while traffic is suspended for trucks.

Currently, there are no waiting times longer than 30 minutes at border crossings.
