February pension payments begin on March 5

Payments of pensions for the month of February will begin on Monday, March 5, 2018, it was decided at the session of the Management Board of the Federal Pension and Disability Insurance Institute. Until the new Law comes into effect, pensions are calculated according to the existing Law.

Pensions earned based on the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance will be calculated and paid according to the coefficient of 1.816, which means that the amounts of the lowest, guaranteed, and highest pensions remain unchanged. Accordingly, the lowest pension is 326.17 KM, the guaranteed pension is 434.90 KM, while the highest pension is 2,174.48 KM.

Pensions earned based on the Law on the Rights of Demobilized Defenders and their Families, the Law on the Rights of Defenders and their Families, and the Law on Service in the Army of the Federation of BiH will be calculated and paid according to the coefficient of 1.485.

Pensions earned based on the Law on Early Preferential Pensioning of Homeland War Defenders will be calculated and paid according to the coefficient of 1.00, or the coefficient of 1.16 according to the right under Article 3 of the said law ("Official Gazette of FBiH", numbers: 41/13 and 90/17).

The total funds required for the payment of pensions for February, including costs, amount to approximately 165 million KM.
