Ismail Barlov recipient of individual, and Medical Association BIMA recipient of collective 'April 6th Award'

(Patria) - Today's 50th session of the City Council was scheduled with the aim of deciding on the awarding of the 'April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo' in 2025.

The session began with the protocol of taking a solemn oath by the newly elected city councilor Silvio Kristić, who was awarded the mandate by decision of the Central Election Commission, after the former city councilor Toni Vukadin resigned from his position.

The continuation of the session, dedicated to deciding on the proposals for awarding the 'April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo' in 2025, was held without public attendance, as stipulated by city regulations.

At the beginning of the session, the City Councilors reviewed and unanimously adopted the Report on the Work of the Committee for Awarding the 'April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo' in 2025.

The Chairman of the Committee for Awarding the 'April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo', Robert Pleše, informed the City Councilors about the Committee's work, which, along with the report, submitted to the City Council the established draft decisions for awarding the 'April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo' in 2025.

The report stated that the Committee for Awarding the 'April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo' in 2025 reviewed the received proposals for awarding the Award, and submitted two draft decisions for awarding the individual Award and two draft decisions for awarding the collective Award to the City Council for consideration and final decision.

The City Council, through public voting, between two proposed candidates for the individual 'April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo' in 2025: Ismail Barlov, for contributions in the field of sports, and Goran Mikulić, for contributions in the field of culture and art, decided that the recipient of the individual 'April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo' in 2025 is Ismail Barlov.

The City Council, through public voting, between two proposed candidates for the collective 'April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo' in 2025: Bosnian Committee of the International Council on Large Electric Systems CIGRE-BH K CIGRE, for contributions in the field of science and education, and Medical Association BIMA in Bosnia and Herzegovina, for contributions in the field of healthcare and social protection, decided that the recipient of the collective
'April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo' in 2025 is Medical Association BIMA in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The award recipients will be promoted and the awards will be presented by the Mayor and the Chairman of the City Council at the Ceremonial Session of the City Council, on the occasion of Sarajevo City Day – April 6th.
