Islamic Community to File Lawsuits Against Hooligans from Vlasenica

The chief imam in Vlasenica Nurdin ef. Grahić has reported threats he received on social media to the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Riyaset of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina is preparing lawsuits against several individuals from Vlasenica, reports Patria agency.

The avalanche of fascist comments against ef. Grahić and Bosniaks on the social network was initiated by one Aleksandar Žuga Matić, after he took a picture in front of the mosque in Vlasenica, showing three fingers with one hand and pointing to the mosque with the other.

- I'll be planting raspberries here, since I bought this land behind me. There will be work, count on it – wrote Matić. He subsequently received support from other Vlasenica residents. One Ljubiša Rosuljaš wrote below Matić's comment: "We'll harness Nurdin (chief imam in Vlasenica, editor's note), and let him plow." Another, Siniša Đurić added: "I'm there, just call, the hodža will plow with his teeth."

Bosniaks are demanding an urgent reaction from the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs.

- This is just proof that 20 years after the end of the conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina, there are still groups from which Bosniaks are not safe in their homes. We have reported the case to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The Islamic Community will initiate lawsuits – ef. Grahić told Patria.

The mosque in Vlasenica was demolished at the beginning of the aggression against BiH in 1992, and thousands of Bosniaks were imprisoned in camps, killed, or expelled from their homes. Nearly 3,000 Bosniaks were killed in Vlasenica and surrounding villages. Ef. Grahić says that the latest comments on social networks have the same rhetoric that could be heard on the streets of Vlasenica in the early '90s, writes Patria.
