Islamic Community: Fabrications about 'terrorist cells' are malicious and tendentious

(Patria) - Fabrications and insinuations coming from the entity of RS about alleged "terrorist cells within more than a hundred parallel communities across Bosnia and Herzegovina", the Islamic Community in BiH has assessed as malicious and tendentious.

"The Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina systematically deals with the issue of individuals and groups attempting to organize the religious life of Muslims outside its framework.

The majority of such groups, colloquially called 'paradžemati', accepted the regulations and norms of the Islamic Community in BiH in 2016 and integrated into its structure", the Islamic Community announced today.

A few smaller groups and individuals, as added in the statement, did not respond to the invitation of the Islamic Community in BiH for integration and remained to operate outside the structure of the Islamic Community, but they are too few to form even a single congregation.

"In any case, the Islamic Community has never had indications that these were militant groups, and especially not 'terrorist organizations' or 'military camps'.

The Islamic Community considers attempts to misuse this issue to construct an alleged danger from 'radical Islamic/Bosniak groups' as malicious and tendentious fabrications", the statement reads.
