Islamic Community condemns escalation of violence in the Middle East

(Patria) - The Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina condemns the dangerous escalation of violence in the Middle East that we have witnessed in the past few days.

"It has been almost a year since the spiral of violence was launched in the Holy Land, which, in its brutality, scale of destruction, and number of innocent victims, is hard to match in modern human history. And instead of stopping the war and starting to work on building a lasting and just peace, irresponsible policies and politicians are further escalating conflicts and threatening to push the entire region into an abyss with uncertain consequences for all of humanity," reads the statement from the Public Relations Office of the Riyaset of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It is added that it is high time for the world to move, especially those who have influence in this conflict, to stop this dangerous and bloody adventure.

"It has long been clear to everyone that the key to peace and stability in that part of the world is ensuring the protection of the rights of the Palestinian people and their state, and without that, there will be no peace and stability in the region or in the world. It is high time for the reason and conscience of humanity to prevail and for peace to be given a chance. Anything else is disastrous for everyone, even for those who act from a position of force and power," the statement emphasizes.
