Islamic Community Condemns Dodik's Hate Speech: His Statements Prove Genocidal Policy Continues

(Patria) - The Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina condemns the hate speech continuously used by the president of the Bosnian entity Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik.

As announced by the Public Relations Office of the Riyasat of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the latest such outburst by Dodik occurred yesterday at an event that was supposed to be a dignified tribute to victims of various faiths and nationalities killed in the fascist "Jasenovac" camp.

"The statement that 'there is no difference between Hamas and Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina' is hate speech and a clear targeting of Bosniaks, who thirty years ago survived an attempt at extermination and the crime of genocide from the same actors. Dodik's statements are the best proof that the genocidal policy continues. It clearly tells the whole world what kind of people and 'values' are involved and why, in the interest of peace and the future, it is necessary to stop the evil threatening everyone in the Balkans," the statement said.

It is recalled that just a few days ago, fleeing the judiciary of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dodik also used the phrase "Muslim den," dehumanizing Muslims and comparing them to animals.

"The Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina expects the competent state institutions to prosecute this clear hate speech and public incitement to national, racial and religious hatred, discord and intolerance, in accordance with applicable legislation. Political, religious and academic representatives of the Serbian people in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia are expected to distance themselves from such statements and condemn them," it added.
