The Islamic State has issued a threat to the Vatican in its propaganda magazine „Dabiq“, reports the Patria news agency. The cover page features a montage of the Islamic State flag atop the obelisk in the center of St. Peter's Square.
Alongside the montage, the headline reads - "The Failed Crusade".
The newspaper also quotes the spokesman of the Islamic State, Mohamed al-Adnani.
- We will conquer your Rome, break your crosses, and enslave your women, by Allah's permission. If we do not do this in time, then our children and grandchildren will do it, and they will sell your sons as slaves - the quote reads.
