Išerić: RS convenes former Parliament speakers, while 'we' don't even convene current ones!

(Patria) - Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Nedeljko Čubrilović, former speakers of the Parliament of Republika Srpska, and chairpersons of both houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH from Republika Srpska signed a declaration of non-compliance with the violation of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in BiH and the defense of democratic values and principles of parliamentarism in BiH.

The Declaration, which they plan to send to relevant addresses of the International Community, states, among other things:

"The previous forms of intervention by civil and military representatives of international institutions and organizations, which were carried out contrary to the provisions of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina (1995), are unacceptable, and their consequences are rejected as an expression of unlawful and undemocratic action," it reads.

In this document, parliamentarians remind that the Security Council has not appointed a new High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that it is unacceptable for anyone to present themselves as such.

"The constitutional order in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as the basis for preserving peace and enabling the progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina, deserves full respect and support, and any potential changes to the order can only be acceptable as a democratic expression of the will of its citizens expressed in procedures provided for by the constitutions and without imposition," the Declaration states.

In addition, the speakers of the parliaments add that political groups, the democratic public, and all its representatives in Bosnia and Herzegovina should dedicate themselves to the progress of their community, turn away from foreign interference, and focus on the real problems of the country and its population.

Enver Išerić, a legal expert, reacted to these developments, expressing dissatisfaction in a brief comment regarding the behavior of Bosniaks and Croats in this situation.

"Serbs in Republika Srpska are convening former speakers of the Parliament of RS to fight against Bosnia and Herzegovina, while we - Bosniaks (and Croats) are not even convening the current ones to defend Bosnia and Herzegovina from the destructive actions of the former," Išerić stated.
