Išerić: With the Declaration on Bosnia and Bosniandom, the academics got tangled up like a chicken in a coop

(Patria) - Legal expert Enver Išerić commented on the meeting held at the National Theatre Sarajevo on November 25, 2023, from which numerous politicians and intellectuals whose names were misused for the announcement of this meeting distanced themselves.

"All preparations for the gathering where the Declaration on Bosnia and Bosniandom was to be adopted were conducted under the name Bosniak National Council. On the day of the adoption of this document, they called themselves the Bosnian National Council. This gathering was held on 25.11.2023.

Now let's look at what one article of this declaration states:

"Article VI
All those who belong to the Bosnian identity shall be enabled to obtain citizenship of Bosnia and Herzegovina and a Bosnian passport."

This means that those who do not belong to the Bosnian identity, or claim so themselves, and have a Bosnian passport and citizenship, should have it revoked.

This is a logical conclusion, because if you grant citizenship to someone who belongs to the Bosnian identity and does not have citizenship, then those who do not belong to that identity should have their citizenship revoked. What are their criteria for determining belonging to the Bosnian identity? Perhaps a certified statement at the municipal counter, and then they distribute citizenship left and right.

My 'academics', all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina are Bosnians. Whether you and we like it or not. And the fact that you want to divide the Bosniak people into Bosniaks and Bosnians, with the aim known to you, is your problem. And we will also find out what your true intention is and who is the main coordinator of this 'operation'.

And yes, two fathers cannot exist. Not even two fathers of a nation. One does not become that at a gathering. Wisdom and intelligence of an individual and historical circumstances bring that. And none of the conditions have been met with you," stated Išerić.
