Išerić: It is impossible to accept the fact that in such difficult times the BiH Parliament is not in permanent session!

What is our national interest today? I ask this question not only to Bosniaks. Because if I were to ask Bosniaks, I would ask what is our ethnic interest? But we are not just Bosniaks. We are also Bosnians. And Bosnians are citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina who together make up the Bosnian-Herzegovinian nation.

Therefore, I ask: What is our national interest today?

Today, when Bosnia and Herzegovina is perhaps more threatened than in 1992. How? Because then we had no choice. Our bare lives were threatened. We were killed systematically, en masse, and deliberately. We were killed like animals. We rose up and defended both our people and our country.

Today, Bosnia is not being attacked, not yet, by armed force. But the attacks are far more serious and insidious than in 1992.

Everything is planned in detail. And everything is proceeding according to plan. The plan is, of course, from SANU in Belgrade. They talk and act about the "peaceful separation" of Republika Srpska, or its secession and annexation to Serbia. Before that, work was done on preparing the ground for years, in order to present to the international community and convince it that Bosnia and Herzegovina is an impossible state.

They did this through direct and open blockades and attacks on state institutions and the constitutional order. And all these years we have not responded adequately to these challenges. And we have reached the end. We have reached a crossroads. We have reached a decision point.

Either, due to our own interests, preservation of positions, privileges, and due to the deceptive and short-lived enjoyment of the "benefits" of our positions, for which we will one day wish we had never held them, we will calmly watch the disintegration of the state orchestrated by Milorad Dodik, or we will be determined to defend it.

And, if we are to defend it, then we must have an answer to the threats to our state. And the answer is to be found in the institutions.

It is impossible to accept the fact that in such difficult times the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina is not in permanent session and is not seeking solutions and answers to the destructive campaigns against our state.

One of the answers to destructive and ruinous actions is the abolition of the entities and a return to operating according to the Constitution of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, due to violations of the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitution of our country. That is our VITAL national interest today.

If we do not defend it and succeed in defending it, tomorrow we will not be able to defend the ethnic – Bosniak interest either, which is bare survival. Either we will die in our sleep or we will live while dying!
