Isak with cantonal ministers, numerous conclusions unanimously adopted

(Patria) - Federal Minister of Internal Affairs Ramo Isak held a meeting today with cantonal ministers and representatives of the Ministries of Internal Affairs, at which numerous conclusions were unanimously adopted.

Federal and cantonal ministers requested the Council of Ministers of BiH to amend the Rulebook on the Procedure for Awarding Contracts in the Field of Defense and Security as soon as possible.

Amendments are requested due to the evident difficulties faced by police bodies in the FBiH in the public procurement process for police uniforms for police officers in the FBiH. It was concluded that a joint letter will be sent to the Council of Ministers of BiH in this regard.

After Isak informed the cantonal ministers about the situation in the field of basic police training, a conclusion was unanimously adopted appealing to the Government of the FBiH to implement activities related to increasing the accommodation capacities of the FMUP Police Academy as soon as possible, as well as to adopt a new Rulebook on Internal Organization of the FMUP as soon as possible, which will enable the establishment of a higher quality system of basic police training in the FBiH.

It was also unanimously adopted that the duration of basic police training remains unchanged as long as the Federal and cantonal ministries of internal affairs police forces need accelerated recruitment of police officers due to the mass retirement of police officers, in order to preserve the stable security system of the FBiH.

Ministers of Internal Affairs in the FBiH agree that the Rulebook on Special Police Uniforms and Additional Parts of Police Uniforms in the FMUP should be amended, specifically in the part where the uniforms of basic police training cadets will be identical to the uniforms of police officers in the FBiH.

Cadets will wear insignia and markings of the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FMUP Police Academy during basic police training, and will continue to use the uniforms after concluding contracts with police administrations, but with police body markings.

This will result in savings in the budgets of the ministries of internal affairs.

It was also unanimously adopted that all ministries of internal affairs announce competitions for the recruitment of new police officers without delay in order to resolve the problem of the shortage of police officers in police bodies as soon as possible, and to intensify specialized training for police officers at the FMUP Police Academy.

Ministers of Internal Affairs in the FBiH will send a letter to the Federal Ministry of Justice requesting amendments and supplements to the Law on Misdemeanors of the FBiH and the adoption of the Law on Probation Service of the FBiH as soon as possible, in accordance with the proposals previously submitted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of KS, as well as a letter to the Federal Ministry of Health requesting urgent delivery of an opinion on the Rulebook on Amendments and Supplements to the Rulebook on Criteria and Methods for Determining the Health Fitness of Police Officers of the MUP of BPK Goražde.

Upon the proposal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of TK, it was unanimously adopted that the Federal Ministry of Justice be requested to resolve the issue of certifying police officers in relation to their treatment of minors.

The Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs, upon the proposal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of West Herzegovina Canton, undertook to provide answers to inquiries related to the Decree on the Uniform Police Uniform of Police Forces in the FBiH.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of KS Admir Katica, Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of USK Adnan Habibija, Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of BPK Goražde Nusret Hubjer, Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Posavina Canton Đuro Delić, Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of TK Hajrudin Mehanović, and representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of ZHK Damir Čutura, ZDK Samra Čabaravdić, HNK Jerko Livaja, and Željko Jurić on behalf of the cantonal ministries of internal affairs.

Authorized officials Nusret Beširević, Sadija Čuljević, Ervin Mušinović, Jasminka Ademović, Samir Čolak, Muhamed Ahmić, Mirsad Hajdarević, Emina Džubur, and Adnan Delalić attended the meeting from the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs.
