Isak: RS Ministry of Internal Affairs talks about protecting Dodik, but cannot even ensure a peaceful gathering

(Patria) - Federal Minister of Internal Affairs Ramo Isak commented on the decisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, which banned the celebration of the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the territory of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity RS.

“The capacity and political influence of the ruling regime on the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs is sufficiently indicated by the reasoning according to which the 'experts' of the entity police assessed that there is a real possibility of a greater threat to people and property at a public gathering, and a serious danger of violence or disruption of public order and peace on a larger scale.

The service that analyzed the security aspects and circumstances is either completely incapable or made its assessments based on the dictates of politicians and people on the blacklists of the United States of America.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of RS, whose members are threatened by Milorad Dodik and who, according to his opinion, should protect him from state judicial bodies if he receives a conviction, are unable to ensure even the peaceful celebration of the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the territory of the BH entity RS.

If the police officers of the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs are unable to ensure even a peaceful gathering, then we have serious security problems in Bosnia and Herzegovina – because Republika Srpska is one of the two entities within the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Federal Police Administration is ready to provide assistance to the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs if the police officers from the BH entity RS are unable to ensure even peaceful gatherings.

As for the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina – neither the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs, nor any factor in Bosnia and Herzegovina or outside our country can influence the importance and significance of that day. To all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, regardless of which entity they have their registered place of residence, regardless of whether they declare themselves as Bosniaks, Croats, Serbs or Others – I wish a happy Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina”
