Isak: FUP raised readiness level, calls on SIPA to get serious

(Patria) - Federal Minister of Internal Affairs Ramo Isak spoke out after police officers of the MUP of RS prevented police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) from apprehending the president of the RS entity Milorad Dodik in the area of East Sarajevo.

- I spoke with the Director of the Federal Police Administration Vahidin Munjić, who informed me that the Federal Police Administration immediately raised its readiness level, and that members of the Special Police Unit have also been dispatched to the base.

The Federal Police Administration is ready to act immediately and provide assistance to SIPA if ordered by state judicial institutions.

I call on the chief inspectors and responsible persons in SIPA to get serious. Sending a few inspectors to the Administrative Center of the RS Government in East Sarajevo with an order to try to apprehend Milorad Dodik, all without the assistance of SIPA's Special Unit, truly casts doubt on the state agency's ability to ensure consistent enforcement of the law throughout its territory, or speaks to the inability of management staff to analyze and plan the successful execution of an operational action - Isak said.
