(Patria) - The Speaker of the Tuzla Canton Assembly, Žarko Vujović, handed over the mandate for the composition of the new Government to Irfan Halilagić, after the Assembly dismissed the canton's government at an emergency session earlier today, and the Speaker of the Assembly Husein Tokić and his deputies resigned.
This is the third time Vujović has handed over the appointment decision to Halilagić. The first time was in March 2022, the second time in February 2023, and the third time in February of this year.
“I am the last person who wanted this to happen the way it did. What happened was short-lived, and we have returned to the paths we were on. We will hold consultations in the shortest possible time and come before the TK Assembly with the names of the ministers. The TK Government that I led had continuity, but we have unfinished business and promises made that need to be fulfilled, but we will talk about that in the exposé when the time comes,” said Halilagić.
The appointment of the new TK Government is expected in the next seven to ten days, and it is possible that the composition of the Government will undergo certain changes.
The dismissed Government of Prime Minister Edis Drvišagić lasted the shortest time in Tuzla Canton and did not hold a single session.
The coalition in the TK Assembly consists of representatives of SDA and DF, as well as independent representative Žarko Vujović, writes BH Reporter.
