(Patria) - Iran said on Saturday that it is up to the United States whether to pursue a negotiated solution or return to open war, but that Tehran is ready for both outcomes, AFP reported.
"The ball is now in the United States' court to choose the path of diplomacy or the continuation of the confrontational approach," Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi told diplomats in Tehran, according to state television IRIB.
"Iran, with the aim of ensuring its national interests and security, is ready for both paths," he said.
