Russian official: Problem with Power of Siberia 2 gas pipeline will soon be resolved

(Patria) - The problem with the Power of Siberia 2 gas pipeline is logistical, not related to price, and will be resolved soon, said Boris Titov, chairman of the Russian part of the Russia-China Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development and special envoy of the Russian president, in an interview with TASS.

“The press has written a lot about the (agreement) Power of Siberia 2, which has not yet been signed. I can tell you that, although I am not dealing with this issue, from what I know as co-chairman of the Russia-China Friendship Committee, the problem lies in technical issues,” Titov said.

“This is not a question of price, as many mass media have written, that we cannot negotiate the price. The problem is not that. The problem is more related to logistics. Making the right decision on the route of this gas pipeline,” the special envoy said.

“This is a working point that will soon be resolved,” Titov added.
