Inzko sends telegram of condolence to family of Željko Kopanja

High Representative Valentin Inzko sent a telegram of condolence to the Kopanja family and employees of „Nezavisne novine”  i „Glasa Srpske”, following the death of the director and owner of „Nezavisne novine” and „Glasa Srpske” Željko Kopanja, it was announced from the OHR, reports the Patria news agency.  

 

-The news of the death of my long-time friend Željko Kopanja caught me and saddened me. His premature and sudden departure is a great loss not only for his family, associates and friends, but for the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

His name will remain synonymous with journalistic and human courage. My friend Željko had a vision of a better future for everyone in this country and he persisted in that goal all these years. I am happy that I knew him.

He was an exceptional man who sought to connect people, nations and neighbours, not only in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but throughout the region. To his family, as well as to the employees of 'Nezavisne novine' and 'Glas Srpske', I express my deepest condolences” - it is stated in the telegram of High Representative Valentin Inzko.
