Inzko visited the Court of BiH and held a meeting with Debevec

High Representative Valentin Inzko visited the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina today and met with the newly appointed President of the Court, Ranko Debevec. The High Representative expressed full support for the work of this judicial institution. He also wished Judge Debevec a successful mandate as President of the Court.

Emphasizing the importance of the rule of law as one of the pillars of a democratic society, the High Representative said:

- The best way for Bosnia and Herzegovina to move forward with reforms is to adhere to the rule of law and preserve the independence of the judicial system. Respecting courts and their decisions is something that puts you on the path of European values. This is fully in line with the expectations of citizens and something that the international community supports - said Inzko.
