Interesting campaign by DF candidates: "izadji.ba" website a novelty in BiH elections

Most media, traditional ones like television, radio or newspapers, as well as modern online ones, are flooded with party ads. They offer us slogans but very few solutions.

They offer us numerous faces but very few competent ones. In the general cacophony of pre-election, mostly colorful lies, it is difficult to decide to vote for anyone on election day, even though that vote is valid for four years.

As many as around 30,000 people are candidates for mayors or councilors. It is difficult to find out what their goals are, other than to become what they have run for. Most of them offer nothing but party slogans.

However, two candidates for the Novi Grad Municipal Council, Demir Selmanović and Mirza Memišević, have offered an interesting election campaign.

The candidates of the Democratic Front have created a joint web page www.izadji.ba on which they presented their goals, just like Western politicians who do not engage in campaigns without websites.

They clearly stated that they will give up their per diems because, as they say, their motive is not money. They offered part of the solution for the unemployed: training in the IT sector, where the workforce is well-paid and highly sought after. They want to create a service through which citizens will quickly get answers from the mayor and the municipal council.

The credibility of their outlined goals is confirmed by their biographies; Demir is an IT expert working for a Silicon Valley company, and Mirza is a political scientist with journalistic experience and a great interest in the IT sector. Both are employed family men who want to improve security in their municipality.
