Institute for Genocide Research calls for PIC countries to declare Dodik undesirable

(Patria) - The Institute for Genocide Research Canada (IGK) called for urgent action - removing Dodik from all political functions in BiH and declaring him undesirable in all countries, members of the Peace Implementation Council (PIC), the Institute announced on Saturday, reports Patria.

“Milorad Dodik’s years-long anti-Bosnian, anti-European, and anti-civilization campaign must be urgently stopped and sanctioned. The Institute for Genocide Research has repeatedly called for Canada and other countries to sanction and stop Dodik, the main generator of the destruction of the state of BiH, as well as his allies from the entity of RS and Serbia, who continuously produce fear, hatred, and insecurity,” the statement said.

“Dodik’s speech in Belgrade and his continuous anti-Bosnian behavior are causing increasing unrest and fear. Dodik’s statements are extremely scandalous, fascist, and chauvinistic, with which he denies genocide and glorifies legally convicted war criminals, threatens the secession of the entity of RS, organizes anti-state referendums, denies basic human rights and freedoms to returnees to the entity of RS, and undermines the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state of BiH.

This is the most dangerous practice, what a paradox, by the Chairman of the Presidency of the state of BiH, since the end of the armed aggression and genocide. With this anti-Bosnian practice, which is also intensifying in the Bosnian diaspora, Dodik has confirmed the continuity of endangering the stability of the state of BiH, its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and political subjectivity. He has also endangered the stability of the region and Europe and humiliated all previous efforts regarding the better future of the state of BiH.

Young generations who do not have their own experience of the time when genocide was committed can become victims of Dodik’s hate speech and manipulation by unpunished ideologues or supporters of genocide and have the opportunity to repeat genocide. This must be prevented by decisive action. Therefore, IGK calls on the civilized world to respond to the serious threats to peace and stability with concrete, urgent, and decisive measures, to ban Dodik from any political activity at the BiH level, and to declare him undesirable in all countries, members of the Peace Implementation Council. At the same time, we ask the member states of the European Union to set a condition in the process of opening new chapters for Serbia’s accession to the European Union that this country must recognize the decisions of international courts on genocide in BiH and not negotiate with those who deny the decisions of international courts, because if someone does not respect those decisions, how will they respect other European standards,” the Institute for Genocide Research Canada stated.
