(Patria) - Inspectors of the Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina - Mostar Cantonal Tax Office conducted 24 inspections on May 29, 2026, in the Mostar area, targeting taxpayers engaged in hospitality, trade, production and sale of bakery products, and other service activities.

The subject of the inspections was to verify compliance with the provisions of the Law on the Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Law on Fiscal Systems in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Law on the Unique System of Registration, Control and Collection of Contributions, the Law on Contributions, and other tax regulations.

During the inspections, 64 registered workers and 9 unregistered workers were found, along with 13 taxpayers who had not recorded turnover through a fiscal device.

Due to identified irregularities, such as engaging unregistered workers and failing to record turnover through a fiscal device, 7 facilities were sealed, and in 18 inspections, misdemeanor warrants were issued with total fines amounting to 64,900.00 BAM.

The Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Mostar Cantonal Tax Office will continue to conduct inspections in the coming period. Taxpayers are therefore called upon to align their operations with applicable laws.

The legal obligation of every taxpayer is to register each worker in the Unique System of Registration, Control and Collection of Contributions, properly record all turnover through fiscal devices, and regularly settle tax obligations in accordance with regulations, in order to avoid sanctions.
