
(Patria) - Inspectors of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs continued to implement intensified activities, and with the assistance of members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, in the area of the Old Town municipality, in the Vratnik settlement, they inspected a residential building that was illegally used for the accommodation of foreign nationals.
A total of 10 citizens of the Republic of Turkey were found who illegally used the mentioned accommodation, and who were processed in accordance with legal procedures.
Also, on this occasion, members of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs imposed the measure of expulsion and placing under supervision, in the Immigration Center in Istočno Sarajevo, for two citizens of the Republic of Turkey who can be linked to the organization of illegal accommodation of the mentioned persons, and illegal stay on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Service for Foreigners' Affairs will undertake all legally prescribed measures against the owner of the residential building.
Furthermore, it will continue to continuously undertake measures and actions within its jurisdiction with the aim of preventing the illegal use and rental of residential buildings for the accommodation of migrants in the Sarajevo area, all with the aim of ensuring the safety of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On this occasion, we invite citizens to report all illegal and unregistered facilities used for illegal accommodation of foreigners on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the competent field centers of the Service, it was announced.
