(Patria) - Minister of Education of Sarajevo Canton Naida Hota-Muminović will hold a press conference today regarding the competition for the employment of workers in primary and secondary schools, as public institutions, in the Sarajevo Canton.
She will be joined by Adisa Šuvalija, director of JU First Primary School Ilidža, and Senad Alić, president of the Community of Secondary Schools in Sarajevo Canton.
Peaceful protests are scheduled for Friday, December 5, at 1 PM in front of the Sarajevo Canton Government building by candidates who applied for the competition but were not scored in the EMIS system. The unions of primary and secondary education are demanding that the competition be annulled due to several thousand reports of irregularities and errors in the EMIS system.
The competition advertised 2,050 job positions, and 2,419 candidates submitted 81,390 applications. More than 7,200 objections and 10,500 appeals were filed.
The Ministry of Education refuses to annul the job competition despite numerous problems and objections.
The Cantonal Administration for Inspection Affairs of Sarajevo Canton is overwhelmed with complaints.
Some members of the Sarajevo Canton Government and Assembly have also called for the annulment of the competition.
