Inspection: 118 Misdemeanor Warrants Issued in Ten Days Totaling 124,701.00 BAM

Continuing the intensified inspection oversight carried out jointly by market-tourism and labor inspectors of the Cantonal Administration for Inspection Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton, in the period from July 28 to August 7, 2016, a total of 79 legal and natural persons engaged in hospitality, craft, trade, or service activities in the Sarajevo Canton area were inspected. Based on the findings, inspectors issued a total of 118 misdemeanor warrants amounting to 124,701.00 BAM, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

During the inspection controls, market-tourism inspectors found violations of positive legal regulations at 49 entities, for which they issued misdemeanor warrants totaling 69,801.00 BAM. Of the established violations, 17 related to breaches of the Law on Fiscal Systems of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (failure to issue a fiscal receipt), eight to the Law on Internal Trade of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and seven to the Law on Hospitality Activities of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Six misdemeanor warrants each were issued for violations of the Law on Metrology of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Law on Price Control of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and five for violations of the provisions of the Law on Crafts and Related Activities of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At the same time, cantonal labor inspectors issued a total of 69 misdemeanor warrants amounting to 54,900.00 BAM for non-compliance with the provisions of the Labor Law of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Conducting inspections within their jurisdiction, they found 37 individuals at 28 employers who were engaged without a concluded employment contract ("undeclared work").

The intensified controls by combined inspection teams of this body will continue in the upcoming period from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
