The Institute for Youth Development KULT has once again joined the global campaign "16 Days of Activism against Violence against Women," which aims to promote gender equality, especially since women and men are not equal in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Gender-based violence affects women, with as many as 47.2% of women in BiH experiencing some form of violence after the age of 15. Psychological violence is the most widespread form of violence, with an overall lifetime prevalence rate of 41.9% among women.
KULT also organized a self-defense training session for girls in cooperation with the association IKMF – International KravMaga Federation for BiH. The first training cycle begins on December 3rd at 5:30 PM at the SPAJALICA Educational and Recreational Center for Youth in Ilidža, and cycles will continue until December 10th at KSC Ilidža. All interested girls can get more information via e-mail: [email protected]
You can see in this video what situations girls might find themselves in and how to defend themselves from aggressors.
